Rescue Squad Receives Grant
LONDONDERRY – Thanks to a grant from Londonderry’s Thrifty Attic, the Londonderry Volunteer Rescue Squad (LVRS) has purchased two EZ-IO systems for its transporting ambulances. The EZIO system will enable LVRS personnel to gain intraosseous (IO) access and provide fluid resuscitation and medications to critical patients on whom it is difficult to obtain intravenous access. Congratulations to The Richardson Family Farm of Hartland that this week was named the “Vermont Dairy Farm of the Year”. Governor Douglas presented the award to the family at the annual farm show in Barre. The coach was encouraging the young kids of the program to give it their all and make progress while his son Cyle was winning and winning and winning. American Legion Post #67 News
CHESTER - Post 67 of the American Legion here in Chester, Vermont is finalizing plans for the Winter Carnival Dinner and Dance on Valentine’s weekend. Saturday, Feb. 13, we will have, in conjunction with Chester’s Winter Carnival, a Spaghetti Dinner and Dance with music by the great Chris Gleeman Band.
