Silence Is Golden - It’s The Law Of The Land

While the population was sleeping, President Obama signed into law, H.R. 347: The Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act of 2011.  This bill, H.R. 347, now means the Federal Government can potentially make use of the vague terms in the bill to charge, prosecute and imprison anyone—who intentionally or unintentionally (enters or remains without permission) in any part of a restricted building or grounds designated restricted by the Secret Service or Homeland Security; or disrupts or intends to disrupt a function of the Federal Government. Added to the Patriot Act, The National Defense Authorization Act of 2012 and the recently introduced “Enemy Expatriation Act” it is possible for the U.S. Government to strip Americans of Citizenship without evidence or a conviction. All that is left for Congress to do is grant The Executive Branch of the U.S. Government the Power to arbitrarily arrest, charge and indefinitely detain Americans that participate in 1st Amendment activities.

This will keep many Americans from not attending political events, peaceful protests or post comments on the Internet because they could be arrested. To be arrested would cause them to lose their jobs and have their names on the Homeland Security No Hire List, especially if they worked for a government agency.  You could lose your right to work because you entered a “zone” that you could have walked in yesterday, but not today.

This bill will take away once and for all, the rights guaranteed to every American in the US Constitution, and the freedom of speech we all enjoy at this time. When we had a Bill of Rights, (the first 10 amendments of the U.S. Constitution), we had freedom of speech. Now, when you go to a political rally or a demonstration, there are “zones” that you cannot say what you want to in. To do so, in the presence of the Secret Service, will allow them to arrest you and incarcerate you. You could be stripped of your American citizenship and be held indefinitely without a charge or counsel.

History buffs will remember that this happened in Nazi Germany just before the start of World War II.

Under H.R. 347, labeled the “Trespass Bill” by Congress, a person that unknowingly enters a restricted area that is under the jurisdiction of the Secret Service could be arrested.

The Secret Service does more than protect the presidents. They monitor special events, state funerals, inaugural addresses and NATO and G-8 summits, and like Hitler’s Gestapo, the American Secret Service men do not always make it clear to the people in the assembly, who or where they are. They could be sitting behind you and overhear you say something about the candidate that was giving a speech. If you did, you can assume you will not be among the voting class.

This is against our constitution. The founding fathers said that,  “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances”.  This bill has been working for 250 years with very few complaints. Now, that has changed. I guess the “change” we voted for has finally arrived.

It may be too late to change this bill, but maybe our congressmen and representatives can amend it down. If not, America has turned the corner and will now travel on a very rough road. I always tried to get people to call their representatives. Now, I don’t know if it is still legal to call your representatives. I would not want to cause anyone any harm, so if you do, be careful what you say. Our freedom to express ourselves has vanished with so many others. The Bill of Rights has died.
