The Vermont Journal's publisher, Bob Miller, is no stranger to rural Vermont or to newspaper publishing. His family owned four weekly newspapers in Bellows Falls. Bob worked for The Patriot Ledger in Boston and then owned The Freeman's Journal in Cooperstown, New York. He moved back to Vermont in 1998. He started the Vermont Journal in Waitsfield, Vermont until end of 2005 when he moved the operation to its new location in Ludlow, Vermont.
